Leaving For the MTC- Heavenly Father does answer prayers in his own way and time

The day before Samantha was suppose to leave to the Mexico MTC, she was not able to find her passport.  We frantically searched the house a million times but had exhausted all ideas of where it might be.  We had said earnest prayers asking Heavenly Father to help us find it, but still could not find it.  We even asked her Grandpa and Uncle to look in her college stuff she was storing in Provo.  They were not able to find it there either.  So Samantha's Dad called the travel office and they rerouted her to the Provo MTC to leave the 5th of July instead of the originally plan flying out the 4th to the Mexico MTC. She was told that she will go to Provo for a couple of weeks until she gets her passport and then go down to the Mexico MTC.

Despite Samantha leaving a day later, that evening, July 3rd, she was set apart as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Her setting apart was beautiful and let us know that Heavenly Father is in charge and that He loves her and know who she is.

Heavenly Father does answer prayers. The next morning as Samantha's mom was busy getting things ready, she had a thought that her Grandpa needed to look again in Sam's stuff that he was storing for her and to look on the glass part of her computer, because that is where he would find her passport.  Sure enough when he looked on the computer that is were the passport was.  Our prayers may not have been answered as quickly and in the way we thought they should have been, but Heavenly Father has a plan and he sees the whole picture.  Who knows if she is suppose to be in the Provo MTC for a reason or if it's just because we lost a passport, but Heavenly Father does and we just need to have faith in Him.  When you have your eyes set on the Savior and our Father in Heaven things always work out.

Early the next morning, July 5th, Samantha flew out to the Provo MTC.  She was met by some loving friend in the SLC airport to wish her well on her mission.  Got to love the tender mercies the Lord provides for us.

Samantha is ready and excited for this new adventure she is headed out on to be a representative of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
