The MTC is like a really intense youth conference or EFY
Hola!
I've been at the MTC almost a full week! I'm here at the Provo MTC instead of Mexico because of some issues with my passport but I have it now and hopefully will be able to go to Mexico City at the end of 2 weeks. Life here is a lot better than I expected, It mostly feels like a really intense youth conference or EFY, but I am working hard and am excited to learn everything that I can. I have two companions Hermana Jenkins and Hermana Wagstaff. They are both super awesome and definitely bring the spirit with them wherever they go. That's another thing that I like about being here; You can feel the spirit EVERYWHERE and ALL THE TIME. It's kind of an amazing feeling to just be eating a bagel in the cafeteria and you're so happy because everyone around you is bringing the spirit.
We taught our first lesson in Spanish yesterday. Hopefully that will be our worst lesson we ever teach because I don't think Spanish can be butchered any worse. We had the spirit with us as we taught though and hope our investigator, Tamara felt it as well, because that is the most important thing.
We are teaching another lesson to her later today so hopefully we can do better.
Spanish is coming pretty easily to me, as long as I work hard and practice. I can say my name tag in Spanish and am learning how to pray on Monday and am super excited. I have really come to love this language even though I've only been studying it for 2 days and have never spoken any Spanish at all.
Love and Miss you all!
Hermana Torgersen
P.S.
Pictures to come!
