One Week Later...
¡Hola!
This week has been super amazing and full of miracles. One miracle happened at church on Sunday. Background story: We have an investergator who is named Nicolas. His girlfriend is a member of the church and a return missionary who served in Brazil. She and her mom were both willing and excited for us to teach Nicolas, but we were not allowed to put a baptismal date with him until they said so, because we wanted to make sure that he wanted to get baptized because he knew it is something that God wants him to do, and something he wants to do, and not just because his girlfriend is a member of the church. Nicolas is super amazing, and really has learned how the Holy Ghost speaks to him all on his own, and comes to church every single sunday. We were finally in a place where we could invite him to be baptized and he told us, that he did not want to, because he didn't feel ready, or was not supported by his family. We invited him to pray about it, to see what God had to say. One week later, we were sitting in the class of the principles of the gospel talking to him about Cambios (transferes) and how Hermana Karjalainen will probably be transfered at the end of this cambio (fist week in november). And Nicolas just jokingly says, (in spanish of course) "well I guess I have to get baptized at the end of the month then." We were so shocked and excited. He had decided all on his own that he wanted to be baptized. I am so excited for him to have the gift of the Holy Ghost because he already understands how to recognize the Holy Ghost, and now he has the opportunity to have the Holy Ghost as a constant companion.
Love and Miss You All
Hermana Torgersen.
This is when we found a recent convert of some of the elders in our zone. He was so excited to tell us that he just received the aaronic priesthood and is going to serve a mission when he is old enough.
