Speaking English Was Probably Just as Hard...

Hola!
This week was kind of amazing. First off, Hermana Karjalainen was sick all week, so we didn't do a lot of proselyting and hardly left the house for more than our appointments that were already scheduled. BUT, God works in mysterious ways and understands us perfectly. So, the first opportunity we had to really work was in the hour and a half left in Sunday after General Conference. We decided to go to a part of our sector that we normally never go, just because it is in the complete opposite direction of all our other investigators. In just that small amount of time, we found 2 people who want to be baptized. we talked to both of them for probably a maximum of 15 minutes on the street, and invited them to be baptized. Heavenly Father really does help direct every moment of our lives, if we let him and listen to what he wants for us.
General Conference was AMAZING. I got to sit in the gringo room in the stake center and watch it in english which was an amazing blessing. My spanish is getting better, but English every once and a while is still nice. It is funny though because we met an American in Lider (chilean wallmart) the other day and were trying to share a great message with him...In english. In that moment, speaking english was probably just as hard as my first couple weeks in the mission trying to speak spanish. I was reminded that it really isn't our words that are teaching others, it is the spirit. So regardless of the fact that at times I can't speak english ... or spanish I can rely on the spirit and I will say what I need to say.

Love and miss you all. Remember to rely on the Lord in every moment.
Hermana Torgersen

Here's a picture from when I dropped my cardigan 3 times in less than 5 minutes so the other hermanas tied it to my arm so I wouldn't loose it.
