Walk Where There Are Already Footprints
HAY BAUTISMO!!!!!!
This week was something very special. Enrique was baptized and confirmed!!! We went through a lot of work to help him prepare for his baptism. Due to a major head injury, sometimes it is difficult for him to understand things, but it is amazing how much he has learned about the gospel. He really understands the importance of baptism, and told us that her wants to be baptized so that he can be clean from the bad things, and have help to do good things. He loves to come to church and learn, and is excited to continue learning more and more.
For p-day this week we hiked Cerro dragon (Dragon Hill) which is a giant sand dune above Iquique. When you get up there, you can see all of Iquique below, but the climb is really difficult because your feet always sink into the loose sand. The easiest way to go up is to walk where there are already footprints of someone who has already gotten to the top. As I was hiking, I was thinking of how similar the situation is to Christ. He has aready walked the path, and if we follow in his footsteps, life won't be easy, but it will be easier. He knows where we need to go, and what we need to do. Sometimes we can make it through life without relying on him (like walking through the sand where no one else has) but it is more difficult. He has paid the price for all of our sins and sufferings, all we have to do now, is follow him.
Love and miss you all!
