I Have Grown To Love This Area, And The People Here.

Hola!

After 6 months, my time here in Iquique has finally come to an end. I have grown to love this area, and the people here. But, I will go where the Lord wants me to go. Also I am SUPER exicted because I am getting transfered to Arica. I am going to be companions with the Hermana Knudson again, who was mi compañera del CCM. We are going to bring puro fuego to Arica!

This last week Hermana Cardenas, Hermana Saltos, y yo have been working super hard. We have been in a trio for the past two weeks working in both sectors, but we decided that we are still going to do the work of two pairs of missionaries. And so, the lideres de Zona gave us a challenge. if we find 45 new investigators before wednesday, they would tell us the transfers early. It was A LOT of work, but we did it, and with one to spare: 46. It is super amazing to see how many people want to hear about Jesus Crist and his gospel. 

Also I had the opportunity to give a talk in sacrament meeting yesterday. I learnd a lot as I was reading scriptures to prepare. I decided to talk about Charity, and how when we really have charity, or the pure love of Christ towards all men, we want to share His gospel with them. I love the story of Lehi's dream of the tree of life:

And it came to pass that I did go forth and partake of the fruit thereof; and I beheld that it was most sweet, above all that I ever before tasted. Yea, and I beheld that the fruit thereof was white, to exceed all the whiteness that I had ever seen.

And as I partook of the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great joy; wherefore, I began to be desirous that my family should partake of it also; for I knew that it was desirable above all other fruit.

When Lehi felt the Joy that the gospel brings, the first thing that he wanted to do was share it with his family, because he did not want to enjoy it alone. We can be like Lehi too, and share this joy that we have found with our brothers and sisters. This is the purpose of missionary work: that all can enter and follow the path that leads to eternal happiness.
