My Mom Says She is Not Home!

¡Hola!

This week was super great. It was such a blessing to be able to hear the prophets speak this past weekend. It is so amazing how even with all the new changes we have had, especially with a new prophet, president Russell M Nelson, if we ask the Lord, he will still confirm that they do his will, and we can always hear the power in the words they speek because they do not do their own work, but the work of the Lord. I have such a strong testimony that God calls and sustains His prophets, and if we heed their council, we will become closer unto Christ and receive the needed guidence to battle the trials we will face.

This week we also found Rosalía and her 2 daughters Veronica and Estefani. They are so eager to learn more about the gospel and be baptized. Veroncia and Rosalía even came to a session of conference. They are preparing to be baptized on the 14th and we are so excited for them.  Javier and Ximena and their kids came to conference too, just at the very end, and are super excited to come to church next week. We are excited for them to keep preparing for their baptisms and to get to know all the members of our ward. When someone gets to know a member of the ward, they feel a lot more comfortable and excited to come to church. That is why I am so excited for the new "ministering" that we are going to do in the church. It is really inspired of God.

Also a funny thing that happened this week. We went to a house to meet a contact and her daughter that is probably 3-4 years old answered the door. The conversation went something like this (translated in english of course)

us: Hello, is your mom home? we would like to visit with her

the little girl: yes! I will go get her

(she leaves to find her mother, and returns)

the little girl: my mom says she is not home.

us: ok thank you can you tell her that we will visit another day?

the little girl: yes

(leaves to tell her mom)
