Things I’m Thankful For
Hola!
Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving!!! We had a really authentic thanksgiving here in Chile which is something that I thought I would never say. Our mamita bought us a TURKEY! Se said she looked all over Antofagasta because she wanted to give us an authentic Thanksgiving dinner, but you can't have one without a whole turkey. XD
Today I want to express all the things I'm thankful for (well maybe not all of them because there are a lot and I'm short on time anyway.)
-the knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It gives us peace and hope through everything that happens in life, good or bad.
-the generosity of others. The members and people here are so amazing and so giving. Willing to share what we have with others, is just a simple way how we can be more like our Savior.
-my companion. Guys she's literally is the best, and teaches me so much about the importance of giving everyghthing we can to the Lord, even if we feel unsure.
-The missionary calling. Before the mission, I was not really a person to go out and talk to just anyone. Being in front of people and talking to strangers gave me a lot of anxiety, but I know that through being called as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints, the Lord has strengthened me to become who I was not, to be who he needs and knows I can be.
-eternal families. Here in Chile, family relations are something that is really important. Everyone is really close with even their extended family members. Through the knowldedge that families can be together forever, I have seen how happy it makes people to know that we can see everyone again, even those who have already passed away.
-the ablility to take the sacrament and to have another week to try again. No one is perfect, Heavenly Father knew that when He sent us here to Earth. That is why his plan is so perfect. By trying every week to be better and more like the savior, we complete everything that we are supposed to do in life.
Love and miss you all tons!
