Find Something Good Out of Every Situation

Hola!

Eugenio and Normis, from the family from Venezuela were finally baptized this weekend. It was kind of crazy getting everything ready but everything turned out really spiritual in the end. In the beginning we were having a couple problems with that baptismal font, and it wasn't going to be filled in time for the baptism, so we were running around frantically trying to figure out what to do, when finally somone said, "why don't we just fill the font with the fire hose?" after roling out the fire hose, the font filled up super fast and everything worked out just great.
This week we also had a really awesome service project. We went up to the tomas, (the owner built houses at the top of the hills of Antofagasta) and made paper snowflakes with the kids there and sang Christmas songs. It was a lost of fun, especially to see how excited the kids were to decorate their houses with their new snow flakes. Helping them get excited for Christmas just helped me to be grateful for
the tender mercies that we have in life. When we are really able to appreciate the little things, and find something good out of every situation, we never have to worry about being sad or upset, and we are always able to help someone else to be loved.

Two of my favorite quotes are:
Come what may and love it - Joseph B Wirthlin
Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved - Thomas S Monson

Love and miss you all tons!
